THICKNESS: (Minimum forced area): 0.035 inch + 0.005 inch
OVERALL DEPTH (Including forced area):
-1, -3: 0.095 inch + 0.005 inch
-2: 0.070 inch + 0.005 inch
FORCER AND ATTACHING DEVICE:
1. A full forcer shall be used to bring up the canopy and ridge line of the wings.
2. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type.
3. The prongs shall be located on the horizontal center line equidistant from each end
and 1-1/4 inch + 0 - 1/8 inch apart for regular size badges and 3/4 inch + 0 - 1/8 inch apart
for dress miniature size badges.
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished hub or
die.
2. -1 and -2 may be nickel or rhodium plated with a mirror-like polished finish which shall
match TIOH Metal Finish Chip Number 16 for commercial sale only. For nickel or rhodium
plated items, the silver plating requirements shall not apply.
