NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. Piercing shall be as indicated.
3. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type. The prongs shall be located at
each intersection of the horizontal center line of the badge and the center of the wings.
4. A forcer may be used to bring up the nose of the helicopter.
5. The dull, flat black enamel for Dash No. -3 shall match FED-STD-595, Chip No.
37038.
6. Dash No. -1 and -2 may be nickel or rhodium plated with a mirror-like finish which
shall match TIOH Metal Finish Chip Number 16 for commercial sale only. For nickel plated
or rhodium plated items, the silver plating requirements shall not apply.
