EPOXY: Epoxy resin shall be applied to the Badge Identification as indicated above, and shall
match TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip Numbers listed below. Hard cloisonné enamel may be
used in lieu of epoxy.

NOTES:
1: The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2: The reverse side will have the following inscriptions in block capital letters 3/32 inches high.
When viewed by an observer, the lettering will be raised and located along a circular arc at the
top and bottom edge of the badge. The top arc will have the words "THE ARMY STAR LOGO
IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK" and the bottom arc will have the words "MADE IN THE
U.S.A. The top of the lettering in the arcs will be approximately 1/16 inches in from the outer
edge. No reverse die or hub will be furnished. Lettering will be cut into the reverse die.
CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS ISSUE: The margins of this specification are marked with
vertical lines to indicate where changes from the previous issue were made. This was
done as a convenience only and the Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any
inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and contractors are cautioned to evaluate the
