2. The diamond shall be 0.25 carat for Dash No. -1 and 0.03 carat for Dash No. -2.
3. The diamond shall be set in the pendant with a minimum of 4 beads.
4. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of the
manufacturer. When epoxy resin is used in lieu of hard enamel, the material requirement
shall be gilding metal or red brass. Enameled areas shall be as indicated. The colors shall
conform to TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip Numbers listed below.

5. Pierced areas on the base shall be as indicated.
6. The device shall be soft soldered to the base in the location shown.
7. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal, a service ribbon, and a lapel
button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Type XI, Style 2
with a Class 1 or 1A pad.
8. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/180.
9. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/95.
