NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub and die.
2. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of the
manufacturer. When epoxy resin is used in lieu of hard enamel, the material requirement
shall be gilding metal or red brass. Enameled area shall be white as indicated. The color
shall conform to TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip Number 28.
3. The device shall be soft soldered to base as shown.
4. The reverse of the base shall be flat.
5. Pierced areas shall be as indicated.
6. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal, a service ribbon, and a lapel
button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-C-14633, Type VIII, Style 6
with a Class 1, 1A or 3 pad.
7. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/184.
8. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/93.
