NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub and die.
2. Enameled area shall be blue as indicated. The color shall conform to TIOH Hard
Enamel Color Chip Number 18.
3. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of the
manufacturer. When epoxy resin is used in lieu of hard enamel, the material requirement
shall be gilding metal or red brass.
4. Pierced areas shall be as indicated.
5. The reverse of the pendant shall be flat.
6. The lug shall be soldered on the vertical center line of the torch with the center of the
lug located 5/32 inch + 1/32 inch below the top of the torch.
7. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal, a service ribbon, and a lapel
button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Style 6, Type
VIII with a Class 1, 1A or 3 pad.
8. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/183.
9. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/92.
