NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. Piecing shall be as indicated.
3. The reverse side shall be flat, plain, and suitable for engraving.
4. The reverse side of the wreath for -1 shall be engraved with the words
"EXCEPTIONAL BRAVERY." The letters shall be 1/16 inch block letters centered on the
midpoint of the wreath, with the first letter "E" and the last letter "Y" equidistant from the
integral lug.
5. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal, a service ribbon, and a lapel
button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Type XV, Style 1
with a Class 1 or 1A pad.
6. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/58.
7. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/77.
