4. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of the
manufacturer. When epoxy resin is used in lieu of hard enamel, the material requirement
shall be gilding metal or red brass.
5. Each decoration shall have a serial number engraved on the reverse of the eagle's
legs. The number shall be Arabic and shall be 3/32 inch high.
6. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal packaged in a presentation case
conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Type VIII, Style 6 with a Class 1, 1A or 3 pad.
