3. The suspension bar ring shall be fabricated from 0.050 inch + 0.002 inch nominal
diameter wire for Dash No. -1 and 0.032 inch + 0.002 inch nominal diameter wire for Dash
No. -3. The rings shall be gold soldered to the vertical center line of the suspension bar
5/32 inch + 1/64 inch above the tip of the eagle's beak for Dash No. -1 and 5/64 inch + 1/64
inch for Dash No. -3.
4. The swivel eye ring shall be fabricated from 0.044 inch + 0.002 inch nominal diameter
wire for Dash No. -1 and 0.030 inch + 0.002 inch nominal diameter wire for Dash No. -3.
The rings shall be swaged in the swivel device.
5. The swivel device shall be gold soldered to the top of the pendant.
6. The ribbon attachment bar shall conform to Type III Ribbon Bar as shown on TIOH
Drawing 4-4-86.
7. The pin and catch attaching device for Dash Nos. -2 and -4 shall be located on and
soldered to the horizontal center line equidistant from each side. The attaching device
shall be 1-5/8 inch + 1/64 inch for Dash No. -2 and 13/16 inch + 1/64 inch for Dash No. -4.
8. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal and bar, a service ribbon and a
lapel button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Type VIII,
Style 6 with a Class 1, 1A or 3 pad.
9. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/66.
10. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/7.
