NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. Two holes, 0.065 inch + 0.005 inch in diameter, shall be drilled through the pendant.
The holes shall be located 1/4 inch in from and 1/4 inch below the tip of the star points.
3. Jump rings shall be fabricated from 0.040 inch + 0.002 inch nominal diameter wire
with the same material and finish as the pendant. The rings shall be oval, 3/16 inch + 1/64
inch by 5/16 inch + 1/64 inch .
4. The jump rings shall be soldered to the back of the anchor adjacent to the anchor
hooks.
5. Jump ring closure shall be located on the reverse side of the pendant and shall be
hard soldered closed with the ends in line.
6. The neck ribbon, shield and attaching device shall be fabricated as shown on Figures
2 and 3 of the basic specification.
7. Decoration set shall consist of a neck ribbon with shield and pendant, a service
ribbon and a rosette all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633,
Type I, Style 4 with a Type I, Class 1 or 1A pad.
8. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/83.
9. The rosette shall conform to MIL-DTL-14649/1.
10. The use of any type of plastic packaging material is prohibited.
