NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. A ring formed from red brass shall be soldered to the suspension bar. The ring for
Dash No. -1 shall be formed from 0.057 + .0.002 inch diameter wire and shall have an
outside diameter of 3/16 inch + 1/64 inch. The ring for Dash No. -2 shall be formed from
.036 inch + .002 inch diameter wire and shall have an outside diameter of 1/8 inch + 1/64
inch.
3. The lug for the Dash No. -1 shall be cut into the working die. The lug shall be 7/32
inch in diameter, 1/16 inch + 1/64 inch thick with a 3/32 inch + 1/64 inch hole. The lug shall
be flush with the reverse side.
4. Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal, a service ribbon and a lapel
button all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-DTL-14633, Type VIII, Style
6 with a Class 1, 1A or 3 pad.
5. The ribbon for the pendant drape and service ribbon shall conform to
MIL-DTL-11589/47.
6. The lapel button shall conform to MIL-DTL-11484/11.
