ATTACHING DEVICE AND LUGS:
1. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type.
2. The prongs shall be located on the horizontal center line of the suspension bar
equidistant from each end and 1-1/4 inches + 1/32 inch apart.
3. Lugs for the suspension bar and pendant shall be equidistant from each end and 7/8 inch +
1/64 inch on center. The lugs shall be fabricated from bronze wire for -1 and nickel plated wire
for -2 with a diameter of 0.050 inch + 0.005 inch. Lugs shall be hard soldered to the pendant or
bar.
4. Lugs shall be hard soldered to the pendant or bar.
5. Links shall be fabricated from nickel plated wire for -2 and copper wire for -1 with a
nominal diameter of 0.050 inch. The overall dimension of the links shall be 1/4 inch + 1/64 inch
in length and 7/32 inch + 1/64 inch in width.
6. The target and coat of arms shall be superimposed and secured to the pendant in the
location shown using soft solder.
NOTE:
The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished hub or die.
