NOTES:

1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished

hub or die.

2. Enameled areas shall be as indicated. The color shall conform to the TIOH chip

numbers listed below or the standard sample.

3. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of

manufacturer. Epoxy resin shall be smooth and flush with the dikes.

4. The connecting links, fabricated from wire with a nominal diameter of 0.044 inch,

shall be oblong shaped, 3/16 inch + 1/64 inch long by 1/8 inch + 1/64 inch wide. The links

shall be manufactured with the same material and finish as the pendant and suspension

bar.

5. The lugs are integral.

6. The attaching device shall be a prong and flat ball clutch type. Red brass flat ball

clutches shall be used for Dash No. -1 and -3, Nickel plated flat ball clutches shall be used

for Dash No. 2. The prongs shall be located on the horizontal center line on the back of

the suspension bar equidistant from each end and 1-1/16 inches + 1/32 inch apart.
