2. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type. Two prongs shall be located
at the intersection of the horizontal center line of the badge and the center of each side of
the wings.
3. A forcer may be used to form the parachute, the star, and the star and wreath
designs.
4. Piercing shall be as indicated. However, piercing around the star for mid size USAF
badges (-10, -11) is at the option of the manufacturer.
5. As an alternate method of manufacturing for commercial sale only, Army badges -1
through -6 may be Nickel or Rhodium Plated with a Mirror-like Polished Finish matching
TIOH Metal Finish Chip Number 16.
