NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. Enameled/epoxied areas shall be as shown. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be at
the option of the manufacturer. When hard enamel is used, the material requirement shall
be gilding metal. When epoxy is used, the material requirement shall be either red brass or
gilding material. Colors shall conform to TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip Numbers listed
below:

3. Piercing shall be as indicated.
4. Lugs shall be fabricated from gold plated wire with a nominal diameter of 0.050 inch.
The overall diameter of the lugs shall be 3/16 inch ± 1/64 inch. Lugs shall be hard soldered
to the pendant bar 19/32 inch ± 1/64 inch on centers. As an alternate method, lugs may be
cut into the working die.
5. Links (jump rings) shall be fabricated from gold plated wire with a nominal diameter
of 0.050 inch. The links shall have an outside diameter of 3/16 inch + 1/32 inch - 0 inch.
6. Two brass balls 0.105 inch in diameter shall be soldered to the sides of the
suspension bar as shown. As an alternate method, the balls may be an integral part of the
suspension bar and may be cut into the contractor's working die.
7. The target shall be superimposed on the pendant and shall be secured by means of
two solid brass rivets.
8. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type. Two prongs shall be located on
the horizontal center line of the suspension bar equidistant from each end and 1-5/16 inch
± 1/64 inch apart.
