PIERCING , LUG AND ATTACHING DEVICE:
1. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type.
2. The prongs shall be located on the horizontal centerline, equidistant from each side
and 1 inch + 1/32 inch. apart for -1 and 3/4 inch + 1/32 inch apart for -2 and -3.
3. The lug shall have an outside diameter of 0.125 inch + 0.005 inch.
4. The thickness of the lug shall be approximately 0.060 inch.
5. Each lug shall have a 0.055 inch + 0.005 inch diameter hole centered in the lug.
6. All lugs shall be an integral part of the item.
7. Piercing shall be indicated.
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished hub or
die.
2. At the option of the manufacturer, the lug may be cut into the working die or may be
formed from salvage during the trimming operation.
3. Badges covered by this specification slash sheet shall be used in conjunction with
badge clasps covered in specification slash sheet MIL-DTL-3628/15.
