CONSTRUCTION DETAILS:
1. The device shall be embroidered on melton cloth in accordance with Cartoon No. B-8-60 using
150/2 ply denier for the Blue and gray yarn and 100/2 ply denier for all other colors (see TIOH
Drawing Number B-8-60). The device shall be embroidered using a 12/4 span and a minimum of
7460 stitches. The device shall not be overedge stitched.
2. The device shall be appliquéd to the base in the position shown using Stitch Type 301 with 16
stitches to the inch. The device shall be located in the position shown.
3. The thread for appliquéing shall conform to Type IC2, 3 Ply, Ticket No. A of A-A-52094
4. Base and lettering shall be cut from a single ply of the material specified.
5. The attaching device shall be hook and pile tape, blue (shade 3313 or 3346) and conform to
Type II, Class 1 of A-A-55126. The hook and pile fastener shall be positioned and secured to the
base fabric as shown on TIOH Drawing Number B-8-61 (Figure 3) using stitch type 301 with 12
stitches per inch.
