NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to measurements taken from the Government
furnished hub or die.
2.
A full forcer may be used except on the outer ring.
3. Pierced areas shall be as indicated.

4. Insignia shall be spherically dapped to a depth of 1/8 inch + 1/32
inch - 0 (0.32 cm + 0.08 cm - 0) when measured from the back of the rim to
the high point on the obverse.
5. The attaching device shall be prong and clutch type. The prongs
shall be located at the intersection of the vertical center line of the
insignia and 1/4 inch + 1/16 inch (0.64 cm + 0.16 cm) in from the rim
edge.
6. In addition to the finish specified, zinc aluminum shall be copper
plated prior to beginning the finishing process.
7. At the option of the manufacturer for commercial sale only,
insignia may be manufactured using 22 karat gold plate with a mirror-like
polished finish and nickel underplating which shall match TIOH Metal
Finish Chip Number 9
