TEST FOR GOLD PLATING: Quantitative (Average Grains of gold per dozen button)
Minimum 3.5 grains.
DIMENSIONS: 30 Ligne + 1 Ligne (REF)
MARKING FOR IDENTIFICATION: Back Shell
SUGGESTED PACKIGING: Standard Commercial
UNIT PACKAGING: 24 buttons securely wrapped 114 or 288 per box tightly wrapped to
avoid movement.
ATTACHING DEVICE:
1. The attaching device shall be stem and back shell type.
2. The stem lengths shall be as specified in requisition documents and shall conform to
the dimensions shown above.
3. Stems shall be swedged, hard or soft soldered to the back shell and symmetrically
located as shown.
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. Toggles for -2 and -3 shall be the type specified in requisition documents and shall
match specification slash sheet for MIL-DTL-1563/19.
