NOTES:

1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished

hub or die.

2. Attaching device shall be a prong with pick and flat ball type clutch. The prong shall

be centered on the reverse side and soldered or fused in place.

3. The background area behind the words "HOSTILE ACTION AWARD ATF" shall be

enameled Transparent Red. The color shall conform to TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip

Number 4.

4. Epoxy resin (stoning epoxy) may be used in lieu of hard enamel at the option of the

manufacturer. When epoxy resin is used, the material requirement shall be gilding metal or

red brass.

5. Each lapel button shall be mounted and centered on a blue foam pad 1 inch square

and approximately 1/2 inch thick. The mounting pad shall be placed in a rigid plastic box

having a transparent telescoping lid. The box shall be 1-3/16 inch square and

approximately 1 inch high.
