BASE (at thickest point, horizontal arrows): 0.050 inch ± 0.005 inch
DEVICE (at wing tips): 0.040 inch ± 0.005 inch
ASSEMBLED (at eagle s breast): 0.100 inch ± 0.005 inch
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished hub
or die.
2. Lapel button shall be lacquered.
3. Attaching device shall be prong with pick and flat ball clutch. The prong shall be
centered on the reverse side and fused or soldered to the lapel button.
