EPOXY: Epoxy resin shall be applied to the insignia rank as indicated above, and shall match
TIOH Hard Enamel Color Chip Numbers listed below. Hard cloisonn� enamel may be used in
lieu of epoxy. If hard cloisonn� enamel is used, the required base material shall be Gilding
Metal 95/5 (UNS Alloy C-210).

ATTACHING DEVICE:
The attaching device shall be a prong clutch type as follows.
1. -1 shall have three prongs and clutches. One prong shall be located on the vertical
center line 3/16 inch + 1/32 inch below the top of the insignia and one prong in each of the
lower corners 3/16 inch + 1/32 inch in from the sides and up from the bottom.
2. -2 and -3 shall have two prongs located on the vertical center line of the insignia,
equidistant from each end and 3/4 inch + 1/32 inch apart.
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the obverse Government furnished
hub or die.
2. -2 and -3 are identical with the exception of a plastic back plate which is added to designate
JROTC.
