DECORATION, RECRUITING COMMAND AWARD FOR JROTC, U. S. ARMY
This specification is approved for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense
The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this
specification sheet and the issue of MIL-DTL-3943.
MATERIAL: Red Brass 85/15 (UNS Alloy No. C-230)
FINISH: Oxidized, Relieved, Matte Finish and shall match The Institute of Heraldry
Standard Metal Finish Chip Number 4.
DIMENSIONS:
HEIGHT (Overall): 1-3/8 inch (REF)
WIDTH (Overall): 1-3/16 inch (REF)
THICKNESS: 0.180 inch + 0.010 inch
DECORATION SET AND CASE: Decoration set shall consist of a regular size medal and a
service ribbon all packaged in a presentation case conforming to MIL-C-14633, Type XVI
with a Type XVI, Class 1 or 3 pad.
NOTES:
1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken from the Government furnished
hub or die.
2. The specification slash sheet for the ribbon for the pendant drape and for the service
ribbon is MIL-DTL-11589/313.
